How Quickly Things Change?

Things were approaching doom and gloom after the poor CL result followed by
Chelsea? Now though back to top 4 and off the back of an exellent result against
Leicester!

More importantly Sanchez is scoring again (a hat trick in fact). Walcott is coming
along nicely and City/Chelsea don't look too bad?

So scene set for a crushing moral sapping loss but I don't think so. Reckon a
win and by more than 1 goal at that. Also Walcott to score?

Enjoy!

Who needs a Striker or a DM?

Surely that sorts out the question? We knew he was a DM but he put Sanchez and Giroud in his
shade with one cracker and the first showing fox in the box tendency being there when the opportunity
arose to tap it in!

And this was away to Spurs after two damaging defeats when morale was low and we really needed it?

I Rather Enjoyed That Game? Chelsea-Arsenal 2-0

Chelsea won. They could have lost but they deserved to win.

It was very close. The red card was key though at the end of the day Gabriel
did kick Costa and so I've no complaints about the sending off. The game
plan was clearly to rattle Costa who is volatile and get him sent off which was
a reasonable enough one which might well have worked?

I am getting more concerned about Sanchez who has an excellent chance and has
yet to score while Giroud and Walcott, who both have, are the ones under
pressure and constantly accused of not being good enough (which I disagree with).

City lost to the main rival did not pull ahead! Chelsea away is one of the toughest
games of the season  so anything but a loss would surely have been taken as a plus?

I also read multiple reports about Dean, and how badly arsenal have done when
he is the ref which makes you think. Shouldn't arsenal have learnt from this? Should
they not have been fully aware that Dean has sent of arsenal players very often so
don't do anything stupid? Fool me once shame on you?

Chelsea vs Arsenal, I'd take a Draw?

Chelsea are all over the place. They have conceded more goals than anyone. 4th from bottom!

Arsenal are 4th from top. 2nd best defence and 100% away win record.

A win would be fantastic. A draw would hurt Chelsea more while losing would help them
get back in order. In short a 6 pointer.

Chelsea are slight favourites at the bookies, at 2.48 on betfair vs 3.1 for Arsenal to win and 3.55 for
a draw.

In short anything could happen. Chelsea could concede 3 (they do have the worst defence in the league),
the could revert to normal and  hit Arsenal on the counter? Should be a cracking game.

I think Walcott is hitting some form and that Arsenal are in better shape and so going for a Draw No Bet
bet on Arsenal at 2.15. This is a home game for Chelsea so they have to come out to play. Arsenal
can sit and would be happy with the draw. Over to you Mourinho?

Was Funny when Chelsea lost, It's Not Funny when Arsenal do!

It does depend on where the bar is? As I mentioned not so long ago, I look for Arsenal to make the
QF's of the CL. That would be good for me. That being the case, yesterday was annoying since I
lost my bet (though did win more than 2.5 goals), but I fully expect arsenal to get out of the group
so nothing really changed?

Is a bit disappointing for the best league in the world to have 3 losses out of 4 but again I expect
all 4 to get out of their groups. The money in the premier league is outrageous and it is sucking the
talent from everywhere. This should lead to being more and more competitive though of course
Barca, Real and Bayern will remain up there.

Chelsea losing and being 4th from bottom (the table never lies) is still funny.

Who doesn't love it when the underdogs win?

That familiar feeling of not again? That said it's always good to see the underdog
holding on and showing that the game doesn't always give the expected result
which would be so boring?

This was an important game since it was against the weakest team in the group
and 3 points would have made life that bit easier? That said I don't think it
changes anything. Arsenal were never going to top the group and it's hard
to see them not coming 2nd?

Giroud did himself no favours and Walcott will be chosen more often. He did take
that goal rather well.

Sanchez is taking a while to get going though I still have complete faith in him.

Now though, move on. Get ready for Chelsea.

Dinamo Zagreb vs Arsenal: Go on Goliath!

Dinamo Zagreb are ranked 85th in Europe with Arsenal 9th. The entire Zagreb
squad has an estimated value of 42 million vs 400 million for Arsenal.

It is an away game. Croatia are an excellent footballing nation BUT with Bayern in
the group it is critical to get maximum points against the others and these are
the minnows since Olympiakos are ranked 28th with Bayern 3rd.

So I expect a comfortable win which is always fun as a fan though of course
it rarely works out that way which is what makes football fun?

Looking forward to City-Juve

Ok the qualifiers had been on already, but that's not really starting? And Arsenal start tomorrow
so does today count? Well I say it does and given that no one else is going to read this why not :)

Mainly looking forward to the City-Juve match. City have been magnificent though Juve were in the
final last year and with their new stadium are back as serious players. That said City are the top
spenders in the Champion's league this year and have been powerful at home?

Arsenal have an easy enough game tomorrow though I don't really know about them so they might
not be that easy and might be very good at home? I'll read more about it before the game begins. I
just expect arsenal to qualify from the group which to be fair we tend to do? This year though I
expect more since the side is complete. We're not rebuilding a side after we've sold our best
player or trying to piece loads of new players together to form a team or suffering from a world
cup summer where out players have not had a break. This time we have a superb side who should
be a match for anyone!

Will look back on this during the year to see how things eventfully unfold :)

What do Arsenal need for a good season for you?

The season has begun. We've already had highs and lows with a sudden surge of
enthusiasm after the signing of cech and then the we are useless loss of confidence
after a so so start? But after liverpool and chelsea showed that things could be worse,
we find ourself with 10 points from 5 games which is not bad at all and we're
2nd favourites at the bookies for the league.

So what would be a good season?

I expect a proper title challenge. The defence is 5 star with 3 clean sheets and cover
at the centre with Gabriel. Chambers if one for the future and happy we have him.
Midfield is world class, stunning. Stikers superb. Pity Welbeck is injured since he
covers so many spots and allows you to rotate and rest if required.

City though are a proper rival. I enjoy the way they play and they have real class
players. So if we can beat them then well done! So if we win the league of course it is
a superb season. I will be disappointed if we do not come 2nd.

I expect a proper performance in Europe as in to make the QF at least. SF would
be good and doable though of course it depends on who we draw.

Otherwise, never bothered about league cup. Always love the FA cup. It would
be remarkable if won 3 FA cups in a row which would surely be historic.

2nd and QF, 3rd and SF would be good though wouldn't have won anything. FA
cup would be great, though would need to come 2nd to feel that have made progress
and also would want QF since this team is excellent and doing worse would well be
poor? Like Germany in the world cup. They had to win with the team they had, 2nd
would be disappointing but the bare minimum? We have Ozil, Sanchez, Cazorla, Cech
and more. The bar is high.

What do you expect? Do you think this is unrealistically high/low?

BFG Best Defender in Premier League and Only One in Top 10!!!

More FIFA 16 stats, and all good for the arsenal!

BFG has been rated the top defender in the premier league and the only one
in the top 10. Have always liked him and always have to support him so
good to see others giving the world cup winner the recognition that he deserves.

How Funny was That?

I'd been looking forward to this weekend, since I felt it was going to be 3
easy points to the arsenal BUT Chelsea was just too funny? Pity that City
got the late goal but you want a proper rival to enjoy winning the league and
I don't think that united or Leicester are.

Read that Walcott is the fastest footballer on the planet on FIFA 16 which is
good to know. He also converts chances to goals at 20% which is contrary
to popular opinion very high (Aguero is 21%). Have been looking forward to
the Ozil-Walcott-Goal combo for ages and injury has been putting this on hold!
This will be the stuff of legend.
